which Country hosted the AFCON 2022 ? Cameroon a country in the west-central of Africa is the selected country to host the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations . The game will be carried out in five major countries in the country i.e. Douala , Yaoundé (Capital Of Cameroon) , Garoua , Bafoussam , and Limbe.
AFCON 2022 Schedule Dates
The 2022 Africa Cup of Nations has been scheduled from Sunday 9th January 2022 to Sunday 6th February , 2022 . The First Match will be played by the host team and its opponent on the 9th of January 2022 , Thus the Group Stage will Start from 9th January to 20th January 2022 . The Round Of 16 continues from 23rd January to 26th January 2022. Quarter finals will be played on 29th January to 30th January 2022. Semi Finals will continue from the 2nd of February to 3rd February, 2022 leading to the finals on Sunday 6th February 2022.

The AFCON 2021 will be played in six different stadia in the five selected cities in Cameroon . i.e. Japoma Stadium in Douala , Paul Biya Stadium ,and Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé , Roumdé Adjia Stadium in Garoua , Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam and Limbe Stadium in Limbe.
AFCON 2022 Tie Breakers
Teams are ranked based on their (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss), and if tied on points, the following tiebreaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings (Regulations Article 74);
- Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- If more than two teams are tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams is still tied, all head-to-head criteria above are applied exclusively to this subset of teams;
- Goal difference in all group matches;
- Goals scored in all group matches;
- Drawing of lots.
