GHANA NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE RECRUITMENT 2020/2021 – GENERAL ELIGIBILITY

An eligible applicant for GNFS Recruitment must:

a. Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
b. Be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age Officer Corps applicants by 31st December 2017.
c. Be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age for Non-Tradesman applicants and 35 years for Driver/mechanics by 31st December 2020.
d. Be physically and medically fit by Fire Service standards.
e. Be of a minimum height of 1.73 metres (5ft 8 Inches) for males and 1.63 metres (5ft 4 Inches) for females.

Applicants must have a minimum of Degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations or Journalism from an Accredited Institution.

GHANA FIRE SERVICE RECRUITMENT – LAWYERS CATEGORY

b. Not More than 35 years of age.

Firefighters and Rescue Crew; In addition to satisfying requirements “a”, “b”, “c”, “d”, and “e” in general eligibility, applicants must have the following:

a. Five (4) credits in SSCE/WASSCE, and a pass in English language or mathematics (D7 or E8).
b. Five (4) credits in the Ghana Education Service (GES) Intermediate Level Certificate, and a pass in English or Mathematics or ‘A’ Level / ‘O’ Level with credit in English.

GHANA FIRE SERVICE RECRUITMENT – DRIVERS AND DRIVER MECHANICS CATEGORY

In addition to satisfying requirements “a”, “b”, “c”, “d”, and “e” in general eligibility, applicants must have the following:
a. SSCE/WASSCE, ‘O’/’A’ Level, GES Intermediate Level, NVTI Grades I & II Automobile Certificate, City and Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or J.S.S Certificate with 10 years driving experience.
b. Driver License D (minimum).
c. Minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

b. Dance Band
i. Keyboardist should be conversant with all types of songs.
ii. Vocalist must be able to sing all types of songs and back the songs as well.

NB: Make sure to buy your e-voucher from any of the GCB Bank branches across the country. You will need the serial number and the pincode from the e-voucher before starting the registration process.

  1. Visit the Ghana National Fire Service, GNFS Recruitment Portal via http://apply.joingnfs.com/
  2. Click on the Apply Now tab and enter the e-voucher serial and pin code details. Select your highest educational level.
  3. Select preferred branch and enter your Bio and Educational data and upload a passport sized picture of dimension (200×180) pixels before submitting.
  4. Print out a copy of the application summary report, which contains details of your Applicant Identification (ID Number) and other relevant data.
  5. Once the application is successfully submitted you can come back before the closing date to print your summary report with help of the card purchased.

IMPORTANT: Supply only genuine data about yourself (Bio & Educational). Any form of false data submitted would not be treated lightly by GNFS command, and defaulters would be apprehended and prosecuted.

Applicants who are successful in the Screening Examination will be invited in batches, for Medical
Examination.

Only applicants who are successful in the Screening Examination will be invited for training.

GNFS Recruitment Feeding, Transportation and Accommodation.

Applicants will be responsible for their feeding, Transportation and Accommodation throughout the recruitment
exercise.
