Osei Kwame born on the 2nd February 1962 at Agona Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region, is one of the most successful and richest businessmen in Ghana.
He started life as a petty trader,dealing in music cassettes, padlocks,feeding bottles and other merchandise at Dunkwa-Offinso. After years of painful struggle in the village to make it in life,he joined other friends to seek greener pastures in Lagos, Nigeria.
He returned home to Ghana in 1983 with millions of other Ghanaian refugees who had been forced to flee Nigeria due to the political tension in the West African country. He returned from Nigeria with only a chain-saw machine and a trident cassette player.
He started a timber contracting business with the chain-saw machine but fate dealt a cruel hand on him when the machine was crushed by a falling tree on his first business trip. Undeterred, he turned to his cassette selling trade until he resolved to solidify his vision to diversify his business.

Osei-Kwame set-up NEAT FOODS LTD, which processes our local plantain, cocoyam, maize and palm fruits such as Neat Fufu, which is has become a preference to the traditional fufu. He also owns a manufacturing company ANTONA FOODS LTD, producing the ever popular THIS WAY chocolate drink and other flavours including the Motherlac cereal for children. Despite is a co-founder of a Salt mining company, U2 Salt, which is located at Winneba.

After facing many challenges in Ghana as a young man, he and some of his friends left the country for Lagos, Nigeria, to pursue greener pastures. Unfortunately, in 1983, he and others were deported back to the country by the Nigerian government. At this point, all he had to his name was a chain-saw machine and a trident cassette player.
He decided to commence lumbering, and in the process, his chain saw got damaged. He did not give up but left for Accra and re-started his cassette selling business, which grew to become a successful music production shop.

Kwame Despite son known as Kennedy Osei is the General Manager of the mogul’s Group of Companies. His son holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, and an MS in Economics from the University of Birmingham. He is also the MD of Golden Crystal Lodge.
In February this year, Kennedy tied the knot in a lavish ceremony to the love of his life, Tracy Ameyaw. Some of those in attendance included his father, mother, and Kwame Despite brother, among many others.
