On March 10, 1998, Elisha Owusu was born in France. He started his childhood career at the age of six with the neighborhood club FC Cergy Pontoise before enrolling in the Lyon academy in 2007. On October 20, 2017, he made his Lyon professional debut against Dijon FCO in a Ligue 1 game.
Owusu and Belgian club KAA Gent agreed to a four-year contract in August of this year. He played in midfield and defense for the squad, rapidly establishing himself as an important member. His first year with Gent saw him contribute to the team’s second-place finish in the Belgian First Division A and UEFA Champions League qualification.
Owusu made his debut for the Ghanaian national team in a friendly match against Mali in October 2020. Since then, he has represented the team on numerous occasions, notably in competitions that served as Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
