The official student portal for Nelson Mandela University (NMU) is called NMU Ilearn. For academic purposes, NMU students can complete tasks on the Moodle site. Every students ( both fresh and returning students ) need the student portal for so many reasons of which they are listed below.

- Go to: https://outlook.office.com
- Username: s123456789@mandela.ac.za (i.e. your student number @mandela.ac.za)
- You will be directed to a Nelson Mandela University logon screen.
- Username: s123456789@mandela.ac.za (i.e. your student number @mandela.ac.za)
- Password: network password that you set yourself or that was given to you.

How To Access Ilearn NMU Login
- Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
- Go to the official website of Nelson Mandela University. The URL is usually “https://www.mandela.ac.za/“.
- Once on the Nelson Mandela University website, look for a menu or navigation bar. It is usually located at the top of the page.
- In the menu or navigation bar, search for a link or tab that says “iLearn” or “Online Learning” or something similar. Click on that link.
- You will be redirected to the iLearn Nelson Mandela login page.
- On the iLearn login page, you will typically see two text fields for entering your username and password.
- Enter your username or student number in the appropriate field. This is usually provided to you by the university.
- Enter your password in the password field. If you are logging in for the first time, your initial password may have been provided to you by the university. You may be prompted to change your password after logging in for the first time.
- Double-check that you have entered your login credentials correctly.
- Click on the “Login” or “Sign in” button to access your iLearn Nelson Mandela account.
