OUR FLEXIBLE PAYMENT PLAN

A. Payment of Fees by Instalment Basis:

Foreign students, who wish to make payment of their school fees on instalment basis, shall be required to pay in three (3) instalments as follows:

  1. 50% of the semester’s fees on registration at the beginning of the semester;

  2. 25% at the end of the first month after registration; and

  3. 25% at the end of the second month after registration.

B.One-Time Full Fees Payment:

Foreign students who wish to make a one-time full payment of their semester/annual school fees shall do so by the close of registration at the beginning of the semester.

  1. Continuing students

Ghanaian continuing students, who wish to make payment of their school fees by instalment shall be required to pay in four (4) equal instalments as follows:

  1. 25% of the semester’s fees on registration at the beginning of the semester;

  2. 25% at the end of the first month after registration;

  3. 25% at the end of the second month after registration.

  4. 25% at the end of the third month after registration;

  1. Fresh students

Ghanaian fresh students, who wish to make payment of their school fees by instalment shall be required to pay in three (3) instalments as follows:

  1. 50% of the semester’s fees on registration at the beginning of the semester;

  2. 25% at the end of the first month after registration;

  3. 25% at the end of the second month after registration.

All Ghanaian students (both fresh and continuing) who wish to make a one-time full payment of their semester/annual school fees shall do so by the close of registration at the beginning of the semester.

POLICY CONDITIONS

All students must adhere to the following terms of the Revised Fee Payment Policy:

  1. Local students shall pay their fees by bankers’ draft into the University’s prescribed bank account or pay in cash at the University’s Cash Office on the main campus. Students must insist on receipts from the Cash Office as proof of payment of fees.

  1. Foreign students shall pay their fees by bank transfer into the University’s prescribed bank account or pay in cash at the University’s Cash Office on the main campus. Students must insist on receipts from the Cash Office as proof of payment of fees. The University does not accept liability for bank transfer delays, and until monies transferred are credited to the University’s account, the school fees shall be considered not paid.

  1. With the exception of  the one-time full fees payment option, any student interested in any of the prescribed fee payment options shall download the KUC Flexible Fee Payment Plan Application Form from the University’s website, complete and submit it to the registry before the commencement of the first semester of the academic year. Such students and their parents/sponsors shall commit to abide by the terms stipulated on the KUC Flexible Fee Payment Plan Application Form.

  1. Any student on a fee payment plan with the University who after one semester wishes to discontinue with the plan shall apply to the registrar for withdrawal from the policy in the ensuing semester.

  1. The instalment payment options do not apply to the payment of residential fees by residential students. Residential fees shall be paid in full before students are allowed into residence at the start of each semester.

PENALTIES FOR DEFAULTING

  1. Students who apply for any of the fee payment options described in this policy, together with their parents/sponsors who shall serve as their guarantors, shall commit to abide by all the regulations stipulated in the policy.

  1. Students who default in the payment of their school fees per the agreed fee payment plan shall be penalized as follows:

  1. students shall not be allowed to attend lectures until they meet their fee payment obligations.

  2. students shall not be allowed to sit for any examinations conducted by the University.

  3. students who could not write the End of Semester Examinations shall pay a penalty fee of GH¢50.00 per subject in addition to the Supplementary Examination registration fees before they shall be permitted to sit for the Supplementary Examinations.

  4. students shall only be registered to sit for Supplementary Examinations after settling all outstanding school fees.

  5. students shall in the future be disallowed from benefitting from any flexible fee payment option.
