Lugarawa Health Training Institute (Luheti) Admission 2020 – 2021

Lugarawa Health Training Institute is owned by Roman Catholic Diocese of Njombe. It was established in 1998.

Lugarawa Health Training Institute offers a two year nursing course leading to an award of certificate in nursing and midwifery (NTA level 4) under the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE). The school enrolls an average of 60 to 70 students per intake where by both male and female students are admitted in the programme.

Lugarawa Health Training Institute (Luheti) Courses Offered

The Institute is currently offering Certificate in Nursing and midwifery. Also the institute is going to commence a one year course of community health nurse from the academic year 2015/2016.

Nursing And Midwifery Program

This is course which trains Nurse Midwives and awarding a technician certificate in Nursing and Midwifery. The awarding Board is a Tanzania Nurses and Midwifery Council.  It is a two years program established in 1998 with a permit from TNMC.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.

NURSING AND MIDWIFERY PROGRAM The entry requirements are adopted from MoHSW and NACTE. With a pass in Biology D, Chemistry D, and Physics D.A pass in Mathematics and English is an added advantage.

Community Health. Also  entry requirements are adopted from MoHSW and NACTE. With minimum pass of D for four subjects among four one pass should be science subject.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

No student will be allowed to register or attend classes before paying required fees. Fees are paid in full at the beginning of the academic year or in two installments at the beginning of each semester.

Fees paid will not be refunded if a student Withdraws or leaves the Institute.

New students must submit relevant original documents within two first weeks of reporting

Students must be registered under the names written on their secondary school certificates. Once registered, names are not changed.

No student shall be allowed to postpone studies two weeks just before final examination without justifiable reasons.

Student that discontinued from the course shall not be re-admitted in the Institute until two years later, however, a student discontinued for disciplinary reasons shall not be allowed to be readmitted to the Institute.

A maximum time for a student to be absent from the Institute is fourteen days, otherwise will be discontinued.

Students shall commit themselves in writing that they will abide with Institute regulations and those of the MoHSW.
