PRESIDENTIAL SUITE

Leading interior designer Graham Viney has decorated the Presidential Suite in soft hues and luxurious silk fabrics. It features 1930s light fittings with baccarat crystal and an original desk dating from when the hotel opened in 1899.

ACCESSIBLE SUITES

The hotel offers two purpose-built, fully-accessible Junior Suites. Bathrooms have wider doors, a low sink, a bath with handrails and an open-access shower.

Picnic Perfection

Take advantage of the sunshine and treat yourself to a sumptuous gourmet picnic. Soak up the vistas by the heated swimming pool, or in a sheltered spot in our beautiful garden. Your wicker hamper will house a range of light bites, cheeses and artisanal charcuterie, served with a range of homemade atjars, pickles, tapenades and much more. Chef Rudi believes in sourcing tasty regional produce as ethically as possible—his top tip: add some sparkle with a local Cap Classique. Or why not splash out with a vintage Champagne?

See the majesty of first light on a dawn walk, in partnership with Leica Sport Optics. We’ll provide you with a pair of Leica Trinovid 8×42 HD binoculars to encounter the captivating flora and fauna of Table Mountain in truly magical light.

Choose to take a private tour with an expert guide and photographer, or join a larger group for an unforgettable team hike. Alternatively, set off on your own with the help of our map. Delicious breakfast boxes keep you energised. 24-hour advanced reservations required.

CAPE TOWN WALKING TOUR

Join guide Kate Crane Briggs, an expert in art and architecture, for a truly unique tour. Tailor your walking tour to your interests—whether that’s history, visual arts, architecture, cuisine or literature. Beginning in the hotel’s own 120-year-old estate, you’ll see the city like never before, including special access to studios and collections not open to the public.

A typical tour can include: an artist’s studio, mosaic workshop, Bo-Kaap, Auwal Mosque and Parliament. Priced at R1000 per hour (2.5 hours is recommended). Tours run from 9:30-midday, advanced reservations essential.

A WILD WINE ADVENTURE

Veer off-piste on a wine tasting jeep trail. Plunging into the famed Constantia Winelands, the scenic tour visits three historic wine estates using private roads rarely open to visitors.
