National Service (NSS) Postings Released ; What To Do Next

The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) will , released postings of a total of Eighty-Six Thousand Four Hundred and Seventy-Eight (86,478) eligible graduates from accredited tertiary institutions and private registrants who enrolled for the 2022/2023 national service, to various user agencies across Ghana.

All eligible national service personnel are therefore requested to log onto the Scheme’s website, on, to check their placements and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters, before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions.

Registration and validation would begin at all centres across the country from October, 2022.

National service personnel are therefore to note that, the service period officially commences on Monday, October, 2022..

However, service personnel deployed to educational institutions are directed to hold on with their registration and validation until schools officially re-open.

This special arrangement is being implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic directives and is intended to prevent large gatherings of national service personnel at registration centres.

Management wishes to emphasize that it will not encourage change of postings; and therefore, urges all service personnel posted to accept their placements and consider it as part of their contributions towards the socio-economic development of the nation.

To Check your National Service Posting Status, follow the leads below to access the list;

  • Go to the National Service Posting Portal via
  • Enter your NSS Number (e.g. NSSGCC100105) in the required box
  • Finally, Click on the Submit button and wait for the pop-up window to open with your Posting Information.
  • All newly posted Candidates should follow this step

What To Do After Checking Your National Service NSS Posting

Print at least three (3) copies of your appointment letter to complete the necessary processes for the commencement of your national service.

Report at The Regional Office. With your appointment letters in hand and your posting, proceed to Region in which you will be doing your national service and report at the NSS Regional Office for the Regional Director of the scheme to endorse your appointment. It is advisable to go on the first day of registration more specially for those posted to heavily populated areas such as Accra and Kumasi.

The process of getting your forms endorsed may take two or three days to complete. GET PREPARED

Report to Your User Agency. From the regional office proceed to User Agency where you will be doing your national service for the head of that institution to also endorse your appointment letters to testify that you have reported as posted.

It is important that the date of endorsement is indicated on your appointment letter

File A Copy of Your Letter at NSS District Office. Send the fully endorsed and dated letter to your district office.

Give a copy of your endorsed appointment letter to the NSS District Director to place on file in the office.

Back To Your User Agency To Start

Once your appointment letter is filed, you are required to return to your User Agency and start your national service as required in September of the year in which you were posted.

Monthly Duty Reporting Form

Once you begin, you will be required every month to submit to your NSS District Office, a Duty Reporting Form endorsed by the supervisor at User Agency where you are doing your national service before the 15th of every month.

This form is designed not only to facilitate the processing of your allowances, but also to serve as a tool to obtain performance information about you from your supervisor.
