Introduction:
The Tanzania College of Early Education was established in 2000 and registered on 03 august 2004 by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training vied Registration No. CU.57 under Education Act. No. 25 of 1978 Sect. 26 (3). Its foundation stone was blessed and laid on 10 August,2007 by His Grace Mons. Joseph Clennoth, Apostleolic Nuncio to Tanzania dedicating it to the education of human hearts.” for “The Heart of Education is Education of the Heath”.
The college was established to recruit, train and upgrade responsible mature young me and women for teaching professional of Christian frame and practice. It is a college in which its nature and revelation bound in Early childhood Education, survival, development care and education in the Great Lake Country Zone.
Furthermore, the college runs in – service courses for young men and women of patience and interest in working competently, safely, friendly and effectively with children from birth to eight (8) years.
The name of the College was changed to St. Rock college of Early Education after being granted a Full Registration Status by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) vide Reg. No. TLF/005 to offer training up to Ordinary Diploma in NTA leval 6 Teacher Education in Early childhood Education with effect from september, 2013.

St. Rock College of Early Education (Saroce) offers a wide range of programme in the field of child development Early Childhood Primary Education and Pastorla Care Support as narrated there of:
(i) Early Childhood Education Department:
The following courses are being offered under this department:-
- Basic Technician Certificate in Early Childhood Education
- Technician Certificate in Early Childhood Education
- Ordinary Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Running a Nursery School
- Running a Demonstration Pre – Primary School
(ii) Primary Education Department:
The following courses are being offered under this department:-
- Basic Technician Certificate in Primary Education
- Technician Certificate in Primary Education
- Ordinary Diploma in Primary Education
- Running a Demonstration Primary School
(iii) Human Residential Cares Department:
This department began very recently and it has only one course programme offered known as Basic Technician Certificate in Human Residential Cares.
3.0.5 Teaching Staff:
The College has qualified, enthusiastic, innovative and competent professionals including visiting lecturers and exchange personnel from within and outside the country as indicated in the bilateral cooperation above. Moreover, the College management is also supported by ten (10) College Board Members and National Union Autonomous of Students Organization (NUASO).
