Stella Maris Mtwara University College Admission 2020 – 2021

Stella Maris Mtwara University College (STEMMUCO) is a fast growing institution. It started in 2009 as an extension of the faculty of education of St. Augustine University of Tanzania. It started with only one programme of Bachelor of Arts with Education (BAED).In its second year it launched two more academic programmes namely the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (BASO) and the Bachelor of Philosophy with Education (BAPHILED).

Stella Maris Mtwara University College (STEMMUCO) for the time being offers undergraduate degree , Diploma and Certificate programmes. As from 2013/2014 more degree and some certificate programmes will be added. Prospective students are advised to follow the instructions and guidelines that are well detailed on the admission page. Entry Requirements.Completed A-Level studies before 2014 Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from Two Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A = 5; B = 4; C= 3; D = 2; E = 1). 2. Completed A-Level studies in 2014 and 2015 Two principal passes (Two Cs) with a total of 4.0 points from Two Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A = 5; B+ = 4; B = 3; C= 2; D = 1). 3. Completed A -Level studies from 2016 Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from Two Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A = 5; B = 4; C= 3; D = 2; E = 1 and at least a GPA of 3.0 for Ordinary Diploma

Entry RequirementsThis is a two years program which envisages training and producing students with the best knowledge and skills in their fields. Entry Requirements for Direct Entry.i.Candidate with a minimum of 4 (4Ds) passes in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E “O” level) in the approved subjects obtained prior to sitting for Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (where A=Pass, B=Pass, C=Pass, D=Pass, 0 F=Fail) together with at least one (1) Principal Pass in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) in the approved subjects obtained in the sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E). (Where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1, S=0.5, F=0) OR,i.Candidate with a minimum of 4 (4Ds) Passes in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E “O” level) in the approved subjects obtained prior to sitting for Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (where A=Pass, B=Pass, C=Pass, D=Pass, F=Fail), together with an NTA Level 4 Certificate from an accredited or recognized institution.ii.Candidates wish to join Ordinary Diploma in Primary Teacher Education, Must have attained Division ONE, TWO or THREE in Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E “O” level)
