Healthy eating is all the rage at the moment, and Summer Hill Bar is bringing that trend to Ghana. As Accra’s first fully stocked salad bar, this ‘build your own salad’ concept is a unique addition to Accra’s new healthy eating scene. Summer Hill Bar Salad Bar is located in Santoe. Since it opened, Summer Hill Bar has already gained a large following, so much so that lunchtime queues are to be expected. The concept is simple yet delicious.
Firstly, pick a salad base, either mixed greens or local lettuce, and then get in the queue for your toppings. Pick from a selection of vegetables such as curried cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, and top up with some chicken, beef or pork (the chicken crisps are a wonderful alternative to bacon), add some pasta, quinoa or bulgur wheat, and indulge in a selection of cheeses to top up your salad.
