Admission Requirements for Bachelor Degree Programmes
Faculty of Mineral Resources Technology

  1. BSc Geomatic Engineering
  2. BSc Geological Engineering
  3. BSc Mining Engineering
  4. BSc Minerals Engineering
  5. BSc Petroleum Engineering (Fee-paying Programme)
  6. BSc Environmental and Safety Engineering
  7. Diploma General Drilling (Fee-paying Programme)

Applicants must have at least credits in the following subjects for the various programmes in this Faculty.
 

At least Credits in Core Subjects At least Credits in Elective Subjects
English Language Physics
Core Mathematics Chemistry / Geography
Integrated Science Elective Mathematics

NOTE: ONLY Geomatic Engineering applicants can substitute Chemistry for Geography
 
Faculty of Engineering

  1. BSc Mechanical Engineering
  2. BSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  3. BSc Mathematics
  4. BSc Computer Science and Engineering
  5. BSc Renewal Energy Engineering

Applicants must have at least credits in the following subjects for the various programmes in this Faculty.

UMaT uses the grading system of WASSCE for the selection of candidates and grades aggregate of 36 is the minimum entry requirement. The following table shows this grading system and the SSSCE equivalent grades.
