2022/2023 Webster University Ghana Scholarships
The Webster University 63119 Community Scholarship has been established to recognize the history of community support and celebrate the partnership with Webster University from those who live in the 63119 zip code community. This scholarship will be available to graduating seniors who plan to attend Webster from the 63119 zip code area. A total of three per year will be offered.

Dr. Donald M. Suggs
The Dr. Donald M. Suggs Scholarship has been established to honor Dr. Donald M. Suggs, oral surgeon, newspaper publisher, patron of the arts and distinguished community leader. It is designed to enhance recruitment and retention of academically talented undergraduate students from ethnic groups typically under-represented in higher education. This cannot be combined with other University awards. However, students may also be eligible to receive the Bright Flight Scholarship or other federal/state need-based aid. This award is subject to change if all federal, state, institutional and private funding received by the student exceeds the estimated cost of attendance as defined by Webster University’s Financial Aid Office.

- Value: $75,000 ($18,750 per year for a maximum of four years) each
- Must represent an ethnic group that is under-represented in higher education from the St. Louis metro area
- Qualifications (must meet at least two of the following):
- 3.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- Rank in top 20% of high school graduating class
- Composite ACT score of 25 or higher or an SAT score of 1200 or higher

- Enroll in a minimum of 13 credit hours each semester (Fall & Spring)
- Complete a minimum of 26 credit hours each academic year

Helen Cleary Hufker Memorial
The Helen Cleary Hufker Endowed Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman or undergraduate transfer student enrolled full-time in the School of Communications at Webster University, with a preference given to women pursuing a degree in Audio Production. Applicants for this award must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in high school or transfer coursework previously attempted and must also have a current academic year FAFSA on file in Webster’s Office of Financial Aid which demonstrates financial need.

Webster Academic Scholarship
Awarded to transfer applicants with a minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. The award level is based on the applicants’ cumulative G.P.A. on all graded college-level work completed (as calculated by Webster) and/or high school academic record.

Gorlok Scholarship
Awarded to full-time, flat-fee, degree-seeking undergraduate with a lifetime cumulative G.P.A. range between 2.5 – 2.99 for graded college-level work completed. Cumulative G.P.A. is factored by Webster University.

WATTS Scholarship
Webster University invites qualified applicants to apply for a WATTS Scholarship (Winning Approaches for Talented Transfers in STEM). The WATTS program was made available through a grant from the National Science Foundation’s Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S-STEM) program.
- Value: Up to $10,000. This may be stacked with other Webster merit-based academic scholarships, up to the cost of tuition.
- Awarded to the 6 most qualified applicants per academic year.
- Full-time, undergraduate transfer students with a declared degree in one of the following programs in the Department of Biological Sciences at Webster University: BA in Biology, BS in Biological Sciences, BS in Chemistry, or BS in Computational Biology.

Phi Theta Kappa
Awarded to full-time, flat-fee, degree-seeking transfer undergraduate applicants with a minimum 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. The award level is based on the applicant’s cumulative G.P.A. on all graded college-level work completed (as calculated by Webster). Applicants must request consideration by submission of proof of membership in Phi Theta Kappa and have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at time of application to Webster University. Recipients must enroll directly from the community college into Webster University without intermediary enrollment at any other baccalaureate-granting institution. This may be combined with the Webster University Academic Scholarship.

Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished Achievement
Competitive renewable scholarship awarded to a full-time (taking between 13 – 18 credit hours per semester), degree-seeking undergraduate with a lifetime cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 or above (as calculated by Webster). Applicants must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa. An associate’s degree must be completed prior to enrollment at Webster University or applicant must be a candidate for earning associate degree through reverse transfer. Application form, essay, and recommendation from chapter or regional Phi Theta Kappa advisor required. Recipient must enroll directly at Webster University within one semester of community college graduation.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship
Webster University is pleased to announce a $1,000 award being offered to the dependent sons and/or daughters of Webster University Alumni worldwide. This award applies to new, first-time freshmen or transfers who will be enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking students at the home campus in St. Louis, Missouri. The Legacy Scholarship is automatically renewable for a maximum of four years and can be stacked with all other Webster-funded awards, with the exception of the full-tuition Presidential award and the full-tuition Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished Achievement award. Although a separate application is not required, applicants must provide the name of the qualifying parent in the space provided on the Application for Admission or on the Webster Common Application Supplement.
2021/2022 Webster University Ghana Scholarships – Proud to Serve
The Proud to Serve Scholarship (PTS) is open to qualified full-time, first-time freshmen and new transfer students who will attend the Webster Groves campus and are dependents of active military or veterans who have been honorably discharged. Qualifying students will receive up to $3,000 annually. Renewable each year upon successful completion of academic course work.

Leadership Scholarship
Awarded to transfer students with a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. Applicants must document extracurricular activities and leadership involvement. Awards are renewable based on the following criteria (separate application required):
- Participation in leadership workshop at the beginning of each year and enrollment in the Student Leadership Development Program to pursue a Leadership Certificate;
- Membership and involvement in at least one club (flexible with off-campus involvement in church or other community service);
- Involvement in planning at least one club event;
- Maintenance of a minimum of 3.0 cumulative G.P.A.

A+ Scholarship—Webster University
Awarded to community college transfers who A) graduated from a Missouri A+ high school and were certified to receive the A+ Scholarship from the state of Missouri, and B) either have completed or are completing an associate’s degree from a public Missouri community college. The award level is based on the applicant’s cumulative grade point average at the postsecondary level. A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average at the college level is required. Submission of a high school transcript is required for consideration of this award.
