Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC ) Details

The objective of MASLOC is to provide, manage and regulate on fiduciary basis, approved funds for microfinance and small scale credit schemes and programmes and also serve as the apex body of the microfinance sub sector.

For the purposes of the objective stated above, MASLOC shall :

Engage directly or indirectly in microcredit and small loans business.

Promote and enhance the development of a decentralized microfinancial system.

In respect of operations with non-bank institutions and targeted end-users, to promote:

Co-operation, collaboration and complementarities with other non-bank finance institutions.

Institutional development and individual capacity building ;

Savings and deposit mobilization.

Identify, promote and co-ordinate operations of associate community based programmes.

Support the development of small scale business and entrepreneurial skills.

Act as the apex body responsible for the co-ordination and facilitation of the activities of institutions and organizations in the micro-finance subsector of the economy.

Undertake any other business deemed necessary and appropriate for the achievement of its objectives.

Data and information collection, analysis and dissemination.

Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC ) Loan Applications Details

In the case of the small or individual loan scheme, an individual can access a minimum loan of GHC1,000 and a maximum of GHC10,000. Under this scheme, the loan beneficiary must provide an acceptable security, in addition to a personal guarantor who must be in a position to redeem the loan in case of default.

All MASLOC loans are for a short period not exceeding 12 (twelve) months within which they have to be re-paid with interest. Thus, economic activities of long gestation periods are not supported.

Photocopy of any National ID card

Business registration Document

Investment plan as to how the loan will be utilize on the business (Cost, Expenses etc.) With Proforma Invoices

Management Account with Two (2) years financial statement

Document of land ownership or rented agreement document

Resolution letter from Board of Directors

Requirement for Guarantor:

Three (3) guarantors

One (1) passport picture and photocopy of national ID

6 months bank statement or three (3) months’ pay slip
