Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts that have arisen in the University:

FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR (1 Post) Department of Supply Chain Management and Marketing

Marketing Management and ICT (1 Post)

Applicants must have an earned PhD in the field of ICT/Computer Science/Information Systems/E-Commerce or should be a registered PhD student, and a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Information and Communication Technology or a closely related discipline with a Merit pass or better. A good foundation degree in Information and Communication Technology or Digital Marketing is a must.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied researchprogrammesintheDepartmentaswellasteachthefollowingcoursesatUndergraduateandPostgraduatelevel:MarketingManagement, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), Search Engine Marketing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, E-mail Marketing, Video Marketing, Digital Visual Communication, E-business and related areas. In addition, the candidate will be expected to co-ordinate and participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students. University teaching experience is a distinct advantage.

REGISTRY DEPARTMENT (2 Posts)

Assistant Registrar/ Senior Assistant Registrar – Academic (1 Post)

recognisedInstitution.Applicants should have at least fouryears’postqualificationexperiencein
and should have advanced knowledge in the use of databases.Applicants should be able to
supervision,haveexcellent oral and written communicationskills,goodleadershipskills andbe

equivalent from a a University setting work with minimal honest and reliable.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Managing the University student admissions process in liaison with Faculties

•Drafting and publication of degree programme advertisements

•Managing University student registration in liaison with Faculties

•Maintaining an accurate student records database

•Compilation of student admission statistics

•Liaising with Academic Departments on teaching timetable

•Compilation of examination timetable

•Receiving and securing examination question papers

•Conducting all scheduled examinations and publishing results

•Coordinating travel arrangements for External Examiners

•Preparing degree certificates and transcripts for graduands

•Servicing Committee meetings

•Supervising junior staff

Secretary (1 Post)

Applicants must have at least a National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent, typing 45 wpm and shorthand 80 wpm and at least 5 Ordinary level passes including English Language. Proficiency in a wide range of IT applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint is a must. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience in a University setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Daily management by scheduling appointments and meetings

•Collating relevant papers and documents in preparation for scheduled briefings and meetings

•Taking minutes in meetings

•Typing correspondence and reports and photocopying

•Assisting with student admissions and processing of examination results

•Mail management, receiving visitors, handling telephone calls and enquiries

•Maintenance of a systematic manual and electronic filing system

•Ordering office consumables and

•Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
