Somanya University | School of Sustainable Development
The Somanya University | School of Sustainable Development which is integral one of the two pillars to the university’s mandate addresses issues on integrated approaches to development. The School goes beyond normal studies of understanding natural resources and environmental sciences to emphasize practical applications of scientific theories and concepts to resolve present and future problems confronting Ghana and Africa. The School emphasizes the most pressing natural resources problems, such as water resources development and conservation, including flood management and transboundary water resource conflict and management; sustainable energy production and use, and their interaction with the environment and sustainable development, encompassing the social, economic and environmental aspects of development and environmental economics and policy.
