Hilson Petroleum Ghana Supports KNUST Registrar’s Offices

Hilson Petroleum Ghana has donated Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH ¢50,000.00) to support capacity building programmes of the Registrar’s Offices of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST.

Presenting the cheque in a short ceremony at the Council Chamber, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hilson Petroleum Ghana, Mr. Humphrey Tenzagh, said his company was more than excited to support such a worthy course. He added that the donation of GH ¢50,000.00 would be done every 31st May for the next five years.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the University, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso thanked the Company for their generosity. The University Administration he said, is one of the key areas in the University’s operations, therefore the support of continuous development of staff is relevant to ensure the paperless administrative work, among others is achieved.

Prof. Obiri-Danso revealed that some students are faced with financial challenges and therefore appealed to the management of Hilson Petroleum Ghana for support. He also called on Hilson Petroleum to provide internship opportunities for Petroleum students of the university. The hands-on-training students acquire during the internship and national service periods enables them to be better off for the good of the country, he added. Mr. Tenzagh promised to consider these requests with his management and revert with positive feedbacks.

Mr. Humphrey Tenzagh was accompanied by Albert Opoku Ware, the Sales and Marketing Manager; Benjamin Nixon Cobbah, Head of Administration and Alex Peter Ankrah, Financial Advisor.
