How to Check Your JAMB 2024 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has just released the results for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Here’s how you can check your score:

  2. Log in using your email address and password created during registration.
  3. Click on the “Check UTME Results” link.
  4. Enter your JAMB registration number in the designated field.
  5. Click on the “Check Result” button.

Your UTME result will be displayed on the screen, including your scores for each subject.

SMS Method (Note: Additional Fee Applies)

  1. On your phone, open your messaging app.
  2. Type in “RESULT” followed by your JAMB registration number (without any spaces).
  3. Send the SMS to either 55019 or 66019.
  4. You will receive a reply message containing your UTME scores.

How to Calculate your Jamb Score

  1. Find the number of correct answers in each section.
  2. Multiply the number of correct answers in Use of English by 1.
  3. Multiply the number of correct answers in each other subject by 2.5.
  4. Add the scores from all sections to get your total JAMB score.

Example:

Let’s say you got 45 correct answers in Use of English, 30 correct answers in Subject A, and 25 correct answers in Subject B.

  • Use of English: 45 questions correct * 1 mark/question = 45 marks
  • Subject A: 30 questions correct * 2.5 marks/question = 75 marks
  • Subject B: 25 questions correct * 2.5 marks/question = 62.5 marks (rounded to 63 since JAMB scores are whole numbers)

Total JAMB Score: 45 marks + 75 marks + 63 marks = 183 marks

What to Do After Checking Your Results

The release of JAMB 2024 UTME results marks a significant milestone for Nigerian students pursuing higher education. Candidates should remain optimistic, prepared for the next academic phase, understand their scores, plan future steps, and seek support to navigate the admission process confidently.
