Degree Level:

Owen Browning Scholarships in Forestry at the University of Canterbury is available to undertake Postgraduate level programs at University of Canterbury.

Available Subjects:

The scholarships cover the following courses in the School of Forestry:

  • Master of Forestry Science (MForSc)
  • MSc degree in Environmental Science
  • PhD degree in Forestry or Forestry Engineering

Eligible Nationalities:

All nationalities of students are eligible.

Scholarship Benefits:

A scholarship shall be tenable initially for 1 year in the case of a scholar studying for the Master of Forestry Science degree, for 1 year in the case of a scholar studying for the MSc degree in Environmental Science, and for 2 years in the case of a scholar studying for the PhD degree in Forestry or Forestry Engineering. It is possible that the scholarship can be extended for a further year, on the recommendation of the Academic Board.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants are those who have applied to the abovementioned eligible Masters and PhD degree programmes.

Application Procedure:

You may apply online approximately 8 weeks before applications close, which is 1 November 2020, for January 2021 entry.
